“In this country, it’s a crime if you want to do anything apart from becoming an engineer or doctor. The word entrepreneur practically doesn’t exist.”
Genre: Autobiographic Novel
Title: How I Braved Anu Aunty & Co-founded a Million Dollar Company
Author: Varun Agarwal
In this autobiography,
the author narrates his story of becoming an entrepreneur by beating the
concept of 9 to 5 races. In his journey, his mother’s beloved friend and the
so-called leader of their Kitty gang, Anu Aunty plays the role of a nosey
person in his life. She tries her best to get Varun back on the normal track by
spending the rest of his life running a rat race.
Later,
Varun with his “Screw It, Let’s Do It!” attitude strategizes to beat canny Anu Aunty by
being a rebellion. On the other side, he plans to run an e-commerce store
and learns the marketing strategies from his mother’s kitty parties.
Follow
Varun’s journey, from starting the business plan on a napkin paper to making it
to a million-dollar company by overcoming obstacles.
The book
contains sections called “Ten Tips to Start Your Own Company” and “Ten Things
You Don’t Know About Entrepreneur”, that could play a pro part for a reader.
Varun now
owns another startup named as ‘Grades Don’t Matter’ too, which also inspires
those who have a bad past in this messed up the education system.
I
consider this story, very vibrant and inspiring for all our youth. This book is
a must-read for the upcoming Entrepreneurs.
